What comes to mind when you think of a bar of soap? A fancy bathroom with fine linens and ambiance? Soap sculptures? Maybe you cringe at the thought of one, in lieu of all the times your mom threatened to “wash your mouth out.” (À-la Ralphie) What you may not think of is a face wash. Facial bars have regained popularity in recent years, and for good reason. The new wave of bars are convenient, environmentally-conscious, and aren’t harsh like their predecessors. You’ll be spittin’ mad bars in no time.
Facial Bar Benefits
Environmentally-Conscious
Facial bars are usually minimally packaged, either being wrapped or contained in a sleeve of cardboard. This is far better than all the plastic involved in liquid cleansers.
Avoid Irritating Ingredients
Many main-stream skincare companies will add things such as sulfates to their liquid soaps to get that foamy, cleansing lather. Others add harsh fragrances to achieve a certain scent profile. Beauty by Earth’s facial bars, as with all of our products, are free from these toxins.
Wholesome Goods
BBE’s facial bars are made with stunning ingredients derived from nature. The Charcoal Face Bar utilizes activated charcoal which packs a punch against impurities, as well as a number of nutrient-rich oils and butters. Another wonderful option is the Lavender Citrus Face Bar, made of anti-inflammatory lavender and radiant citrus.
Less Expensive
Bar soaps are typically less expensive than liquid soaps as they cost less to produce, making it a great skincare item for people on a budget. That’s extra money in your pocket for coffee! (Lucky you.)
Travel Easy
Taking products in your carry-on can be a handful if you’re having to transfer your liquids into smaller containers or buy an extra travel size. With a face bar, you wouldn’t have to worry while going through TSA. Facial bars are solid, compact, and easily stored.
How-To Use
- Wet your face with lukewarm water. (Never hot!)
- Run the soap bar under the water, then, run your hands across the bar.
- Work the product into a lather with your hands and apply it to your face.
- Massage using circular motions.
- Rinse off and gently pat dry.
- You’re done!

I love your charcoal bar because it really helps with my acne prone skin. Have to try the lavendar tho!
