“NOT ALL ARGAN OIL IS CREATED EQUAL!”
This is one of those cases where you really do “get what you pay for”. So I wanted to give you some quick pointers to help you verify the quality of a Moroccan Oil brand:
1. Ingredients should include 100% Argan Oil or 100% argania spinosa kernel oil ONLY.
2. Product should be sold in a dark colored glass bottle (which prevents light from breaking down healing properties of the Argan Oil).
3. Oil should have a mild nutty type of smell – avoid strong scents or no scent at all.
4. Another quality factor is texture. Pure Moroccan Oil is smooth as silk and it absorbs quickly and completely into hair and skin. It is not greasy and doesn’t leave an oily residue.
5. Lastly we come to price – there really isn’t such a thing as cheap argan oil. The fact is that pure argan oil is produced with an extremely time consuming and manual process that has been used by Moroccan women since time immemorial.

Beauty by Earth
Just opened my second bottle of beauty by earth argan oil. The first I purchased about a year ago. From day one it never had any kind of scent, which was just as I like things….unscented. That bottle is now empty and I just opened a new bottle of beauty by earth argan oil….bottle looks exactly the same. The smell is very different. Kind of like a mildly “smelly” cheese. And not in a good way. I have read that if argan oil has no smell at all, it probably is not real argan oil. But this new bottle is kind of off-putting as I have a very sensitive nose! So I’m wondering ……is it ok to use? Or might it be rancid?? Why would the first bottle I had have no scent and this one so unpleasant? Although, the smell goes away in a few minutes. I just want to be sure that it is ok to put on my face.
