How do you use Konjac Sponges? Well, that’s a great question!
These sponges are odd little creatures. Straight out of the packaging they are hard and not spongy at all. It can easily seem these are not in fact sponges at all. They are not used dry.
So, how do you use konjac sponges?
Remove the sponges from the packaging. Before you use them, they will need to be thoroughly submerged in water, or put under the running water of a shower. Gently squeeze the sponge as it absorbs the water to speed the process. But be gentle. You will quickly see that the sponge goes from rock hard, to a soft, silky, spongy texture and at this point it is ready to use! The first time that you get the sponge wet out of the packaging, it may take a minute or two for the sponge to absorb enough water to be ready for use.
The sponges can be used with or without a facial cleanser. We recommend using them once makeup has been removed. This way the sponge will have a chance to gently exfoliate your face as well as get a nice deep clean. Move the sponge around your face and neck in a circular motion and don’t forget the under eye area. They are very gently, so are completely safe to use around your eye.
Once you are done, simply rinse out the sponge and ensure there is no soap residue left in it. Find somewhere well ventilated to hang your sponge after use and it will simply return to its dry state.
