Is it cliché to say this site is a goldmine? The Environmental Working Group is always asking questions about what’s impacting our health and environment. Even better, they have the resources to answer those questions.
The EWG’s Skin Deep Database provides a robust search engine where products as well as individual ingredients can be researched with ease, providing one with key insights to health and toxicology concerns – even rating each product on a scale from 0-10 (10 being the most toxic).
Because our health has so much to do with what we consume, we also have to make reference to the EWG’s Food Scores Database where you can rate your plate. Their site will help you learn how to choose healthier and less processed options that do not contain pesticides, contaminants and antibiotics.
Lastly, but also important, the EWG Guide to Healthy Cleaning where you can fix less toxic household cleaning products and begin to understand the ingredients contained in everyday cleaning products. Their site makes it easy to find greener solutions that are free of toxic ingredients.
