Are tangles making you want to pull your hair out? We feel your pain. You don’t need to bear raking through those naughty knots, though. Grab an empty spray bottle and throw these simple ingredients together for the perfect solution. This DIY hair detangler recipe will give you the relief you need without all the unnecessary chemicals found in store-bought alternatives.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups water
1 tbsp of conditioner
2 tbsp Beauty by Earth Argan Oil
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
10-12 drops of essential oils
Directions
Step One
Add conditioner, Argan oil, and ACV to a spray bottle.
Step Two
Add warm water to the bottle, stir vigorously. Make sure the consistency of the mixture isn’t too thick—you’ll want it rather liquid-y to properly distribute through the spray bottle on application.
Step Three
Add amount of essential oils as directed, or customize as you go to the scent you desire. We love this kit by Aura Cacia to have a couple of options—especially hair-positive powerhouses like lavender and peppermint.
Step Four
Shake before applying.
**DIY hair detangler recipe proportions might need to be adjusted based off of your hair type, condition, porosity, texture, etc.
Application Tips
Holding the spray bottle a good distance away from your head, spritz damp or dry hair a few times. Use a quality detangling brush, such as Beauty by Earth’s Detangling Brush, to gently brush out your hair—starting from the bottom and gradually working your way up.
